Building websites about my hobbies has turned from a hobby itself! I find myself pouring hours a day into my websites, such as this one. The reason why I do it is that I just can’t stand when I can’t find a bad article as the top answer for a Google search. I know I can make something better, and a site is born.
That’s what started Extrafirewood.com. I have been splitting firewood since my early childhood with my dad, who runs Michael Whiteman & Sons Inc. It’s a general contractor company based in Newark Delaware that specializes in residential land development. With that comes a lot of tree jobs, which means lots of firewood to split!
I never saw myself as an expert in firewood, but I knew more than writers of these garbage articles I see online! Who knows if they’ve even touched a piece of firewood, or are real people! I took this industry gap as an opportunity to answer various questions in the niche, document my experiments, and make the most helpful articles I can manage.
